Dress Code

 

 

 

The ultimate goal with our dress code is modesty and neatness.  Since the time spent in class is limited, we would ask that dress code not become an issue. If you arrive at Veritas dressed immodestly or inappropriately, you may be asked to call your parent and have appropriate clothes brought to school.  Please adhere to the requirements stated below.

 

Veritas has a standardized dress code.  We have tried to create it in a way that is easy to follow.  Our dress code only consist  of a solid color classic polo shirt (long or short sleeve) with modest, traditional solid color pants or capris, knee length shorts, or a traditional knee-length skirt or jumper.  Jackets and sweaters that are worn over the polo are to be solid in color.  Nothing else should be worn over the polo shirt.  Girls:  if you wear a top underneath your polo it needs to be buttoned so that you are modest in your appearance.  Denim is not acceptable.  Tight, straight legged pants are not acceptable for girls or guys.  No earrings for boys and no unusual color of hair is acceptable.  Shoe color and style is left to the parents’ discretion. No hats are to be worn inside the building - no exceptions!!

 

The only clothes that are acceptable other than the solid polo shirt and pants are clothes that are standardized dress clothes.  You can purchase these from Lands’ End or Veritas Classical Schools Bookstore (www.vcsbookstore.com).  You will find the quality of their merchandise to be “exceptional, long wearing.”  In addition, both Lands’ End and VCS Bookstore has a contribution program that will be donated to our school.   This donation will be used contributed to the scholarship fund.

Polo shirts and sweatshirts with the Veritas logo are available at Lands’ End.   When you order, just provide our school number and logo number.   The cost is $5.50 to apply the logo to each item.
